I am a software engineer, passionate about OOP, Microservices and software architecture in general. I am also a speaker and DZone’s Most Valuable Blogger. These were both my passion and a will to develop my skills that lead me into microservices over 3 years ago. Conferences I attended and books I read inspired me to find a job where I could implement microservices every day. I had an opportunity to work professionally on all aspects of this type of architecture, like service discovery, load balancing, circuit breaking, distributed logging and tracing, monitoring, and many many more.
At Voxxed Days Microservices I will be talking about dynamic configuration management in microservice environment with Spring Cloud. During this presentation I will focus on configuration issues in microservice environment. Don’t worry – there won’t be too much slides – I will do some live-coding and show you how we can improve configuration management with Spring Cloud and Apache Kafka, and how easy it is to reconfigure our application live without rebuilding or rebooting it.
As config server is the central point of our ecosystem we should scale it properly. With the help of Spring Cloud, we can register Config Server in Netflix Eureka Server, so that all its instances are easily accessible by Config Clients through client-side service discovery and load balancing.
I’m very happy to be part of the first Voxxed Days Microservices conference. It is a fantastic initiative to create an event that is fully dedicated to microservices, and I’m 100% sure that it will be a fantastic opportunity to share our experience with each other. I can’t wait to see you all there! Cheers!
