Voxxed Athens 2019

Voxxed Athens 2019 will take place on June 7th-8th,2019. Last year we had the chance to welcome more than 550 people from 15 different countries. This year we are aiming higher and we hope to bring Voxxed Athens one step closer to the Devoxx look and feel.

With 4 keynotes, 25+ speakers, 600+ expected attendees, 2 days, lots of workshops, side activities, fun zone and 2 parallel tracks each on different topics including languages and frameworks, big data and cloud, future and AI, modern mobile and web development, craftsmanship and methodologies attendees can satisfy their curiosity and learn new skills while enjoying and having fun!

Where Voxxed Athens 2019 is held?

Voxxed Athens 2019 will take place on June 7th and 8th @ Technopolis (Gazi) , in Athens, Greece.

Is there a Call for Papers

Our call for papers  is running from December 14th to January 14th. You can submit your proposals here

Are the sessions recorded?

Yes. we will record all conference sessions – not workshops – and we will upload them on our youtube channel after the event

Is VAT charged / included on ticket price?

Yes, the standard Greece VAT charge of 24% is applicable for all attendees, regardless of their location.

What type of sessions are there?

There are two types of sessions
– 40′ standard conference sessions held in 2 rooms in parallel
– 15′ quickie sessions

Do you have a CoC (code of conduct)

Yes, there is a Code of Conduct in place which we expect everybody attending and involved in the event to adhere to. You can view it HERE.

Keynote Speakers

John Papa

John Papa is a Principal Developer Advocate with Microsoft, former technologist for Disney, and an alumnus of the Google Developer Expert, Microsoft Regional Director, and MVP programs. He’s passionate about Web and mobile technologies and often enjoys speaking around the world at keynotes and sessions for conferences including NgConf, Build, Ignite, VSLive and AngleBrackets. John is a co-host of the popular Adventures in Angular podcast, author of the Angular Style Guide, several books, and many popular Pluralsight courses.

Sander Hoogendoorn

Sander Hoogendoorn is a dad, an independent consultant, software craftsman, architect, programmer, coach, speaker, trainer, and writer. He is seasoned in agile, Scrum, Kanban, continuous delivery, (no) software estimation, agile requirements, design patterns, domain driven design, UML, software architecture, microservices, and writing beautiful code.

Sander changes organizations and teams and coaches them to optimize their processes, practices, architecture, code, and tests, currently as chief architect at smart energy company Quby (makers of Toon), and before as director with the agile consultancy 101 Ways, as chief technology officer at software vendor ANVA and insurer Klaverblad, as global agile thought leader at Capgemini, and as partner at consultancy Ordina. Sander authored best-selling books such as This Is Agile and Pragmatic Modeling with UML and published hundreds of articles in international magazines. He is an inspiring (keynote) speaker at international conferences, he presented hundreds of (in-house) training courses and lectured at many universities. Currently, Sander is working on a new book about the new agile.

Denise Jacobs

Denise Jacobs a Speaker + Author + Creativity Evangelist who increases employee productivity and engagement through evangelizing leading-edge techniques for busting through creative blocks in order help individuals to be their brilliance, cultivate collaboration, and develop leadership skills.

Through speaking, writing, training, and her consulting company, The Creative Dose, Denise helps companies to create real-world results where individuals and teams work better, produce more, and skyrocket their company’s success.

April Wensel

April Wensel is the founder of Compassionate Coding, a socially conscious business that’s bringing emotional intelligence and ethics to the tech industry. She has spent the past decade in software engineering and technical leadership roles at various startups in Silicon Valley. She also teaches coding and mentors technologists around the world. Away from the keyboard, she enjoys picking neighborhood fruit for the food bank, running ultramarathons, and baking tasty vegan treats.
