Q. Tell us a bit about yourself. What are your hobbies and interests?
I’m interested in software, hardware, science and, more generally, anything that will have an impact on our future.
Q. Why did you select this topic for your session at Voxxed Days Cluj-Napoca 2017?
Over the past 17 years, I developed generations of ebook devices and launched a highly-available ebook ecosystem, so this presentation will be like a back-to-the-basics hands-on. I know by experience how hard it was and how easier it gets nowadays.
Q. Who should attend your session?
Anyone interested in electronic devices or wondering how they can leverage the potential of the cloud.
Q. What are the key things attendees will take away from your session?
I’d like to demo how easy it is for any developer to:
– build a custom IoT device
– interface it with powerful cloud services
Q. Aside from speaking at Voxxed Days Cluj-Napoca 2017, what is the year review look like for you?
Over the last couple of months, I talked at Signal London and GDG Nantes, where I had fun demos with machine learning APIs, then last week at PyData Warsaw where I shared my experiences with distributed computing. Cluj-Napoca will be my first talk about IoT.
Q. What are your plans for the next year?
Keep learning, talking and sharing about cloud technologies, write articles on a regular basis, learn about TensorFlow and start training my own machine learning models…
