Q. Tell us a bit about yourself. What are your hobbies and interests?
I’m a full-stack developer, currently running an agency in Munich, Tech-5.de. Apart from work, we are deeply involved in the community, organizing tech meetups and conferences like FrontConf and PyConWeb. When not organizing or speaking at conferences I love to travel around the world and flood my instagram.
Q. Why did you select this topic for your session at Voxxed Days Cluj-Napoca 2017?
The world gets asynchronous: people prefer quick messages to phone calls, avoid queues by ordering online, all to cut down unnecessary waiting and live the own schedule. However, we are often falling behind with this on web backends, even though all tools and methodologies are already there. My talk is one little step towards fixing this.
Q. Who should attend your session?
Everyone who is eager to try async development tools, as well as new web frameworks and languages.
Q. What are the key things attendees will take away from your session?
The understanding what tools are available for async web development these days, what could be useful and what not under different circumstances.
Q. Aside from speaking at Voxxed Days Cluj-Napoca 2017, what is the year review look like for you?
If we count activities in the tech community, that would be:
– 6 conference talks
– 2 full-day workshops
– 8 meetups organized
– 2 conferences created, that’s the hardest.
Q. What are your plans for the next year?
Don’t ask 🙂 Those numbers are simply growing and growing; the goal is to handle that while keeping up the quality.
