When I was a kid, I used to look at our house electrician while he was repairing home appliances. I was amazed how he could manage all that green boards inside TV, video recorder… So, I wanted to become an electrician. 🙂 (I always had big dreams).
I started programming in high school when we learned Pascal. Basically, Pascal wasn’t enough for me, so as a true nerd I discovered Delphi while browsing for more knowledge in books for higher classes. The first program I made in Delphi was some kind of a timer and I made it several days before New Year’s Eve.
My friends and I used it on New Year’s Eve to tell us that New Year arrived. 🙂
Live talk is the best form of communication (a developer should know). At IT conferences, participants mostly share their experience with real life problems – and for a developer this is valuable knowledge.
Picking up hints and ideas that way is many times better than digging around the Internet.
Besides huge professional benefits that Voxxed will bring me (knowledge wise), I expect to have some fun as well (see you all on those parties).
I strongly strive not to do stupid things… or later talk about them. 😉
