1. What did you want to be when you grow up? And how did you start programming?

I wanted to became a physicist. Like many of my generation, I was a Commodore guy: VC20, C64 and Amiga. After university, at my first job as a graduated physicist, I just happened be the one, who didn’t ran away from this buggy Visual FoxPro application…

2. Why do you consider IT conferences important? What meaning does Voxxed have for you personally?

I like to get a fresh perspective and new ideas from topics I normally wouldn’t focus on during the year. This inspiration comes from the talks but also from all the interesting discussions during the breaks.
I am rather new to the JVM world, so I am following Voxxed on twitter to have a curated news feed on that topic.

3. What is the craziest thing that happened to you that involves technology?

I still find it really crazy, that it possible to actually earn money, while working with all this new and exiting technologies.
