1. What did you want to be when you grow up? And how did you start programming?

Bit confusing as i believe I’m still growing… Okay, now on a more serious note, I think I wanted to be what everyone else did – a Pirate 🙂
I started programming because I wanted to change the speed of the snake in MS-DOS Quick Basic game – Nibbles

2. Why do you consider IT conferences important? What meaning does Voxxed have for you personally?

IT conferences gives you access to the most up to date trends and innovation out there. You can read some blogs and other specialized websites that aim to cover such topics but it will never be as “fresh” and thrilling than hearing it from the authors themselves. You also have unique opportunities to talk and interact with a lot of IT rock

Voxxed days is a very special conference because it happens it a lot of different locations and it’s organized by local communities. I personally like to interact with the creative people from those communities, checking out what´s going on out there.

3. What is the craziest thing that happened to you that involves technology?

I’m afraid I might qualify as a little treasure box, full of fuck-ups and crazy malpractices but, hey, that’s one of the ways to learn, right?

An oldie but goldie from my treasure box… back in the Frame-Relay days, we had a full /24 in my company and we thought it was cool to assign a public IP address to each device. That’s right, each laptop, each workstation had its own public IP address. Oh, and the printer too, of course. It came a bit as a surprise when a random PhD thesis in a foreign language started to come out of our printer…
