1. What did you want to be when you grow up? And how did you start programming?

I grew up in Grenoble, France, where there’s a lot research labs, so I wanted to be a Physics researcher.
It took me a while, after getting my Physics degree, to realize that I wasn’t suited for this, and that CS was my stuff.
I barely programmed before that, just a bit of C, and learnt by myself.

2. Why do you consider IT conferences important? What meaning does Voxxed have for you personally?

IT conferences are great chances to meet people and share ideas. VoxxedDays Belgrade is a bit special for me, because I’ll finally get the chance to meet some super cool developers I’ve been in touch for some time, such as Igor Spasic from Jodd. I can’t wait for it!

3. What is the craziest thing that happened to you that involves technology?

Growing my own open source project, Gatling. It started as a hobby, I first released 4 years ago and I was super excited the software was downloaded 15 times. Now, it’s downloaded about 15.000 times per month and used all over the world, I get the chance to speak at conferences and meet great and passionate people.
